Hey there, I was just looking at your info on the county website and wanted to send you my success story… I have had Sophie (she was originally Sharpie I think), for a little over 2 years now and she has been absolutely wonderful! She is the most loving, energetic, and well behaved dog. She loves playing fetch, especially in the water, and also enjoys going on bike rides. Sophie is a perfect fit to our family and everyone just loves her. The first dog I got, Roxy, I found on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and just had to bring her home. I was not interested in adopting another dog, but for some reason decided to visit your facilities. After seeing Sophie, my mind was made up, and I had to bring her home too! I greatly appreciate what you all do in looking out for these amazing animals and helping them find homes.

Hello from Suffolk, VA! I just wanted to send you an email to let you know how much I am enjoying my new home. I slept most of the way home – it was a long drive. When I arrived at my new home I couldn’t believe it! There was so much land. I just ran and ran. The first night Mom and Dad had a kennel set up for me and I cried a lot. It didn’t take me long to train them though. I now sleep in the bed with them! J I have learned how to sit, stay, lay, and come. They don’t know it but I only do it for the treats. Silly humans! I have regular doctor visits and last week we took another trip to the beach and I don’t even want to talk about what they did to me! Mom and Dad said it had to be done but I just didn’t understand. Someone said everything went well so I am doing ok. I now weigh about 25 pounds and my feet are huge. They think I am going to be BIG! I love being outside. There are so many birds to watch and squirrels to chase! Mom and Dad put some things in the ground that are so much fun to play with. They don’t seem to like it when I chew on the “flowers” as they call them. I have to say I really am a smart dog! I learned quickly outside is where I have to go potty. Did I mention everyone thinks I am adorable? I caught a glimpse of myself in the glass the other day and I have to say I agree. Thank you again for letting my Mom and Dad adopt me! Jack

We wanted to let you know Jack is doing GREAT! He has been a wonderful addition to the family and the whole neighborhood loves him. We can't imagine how he became a stray as he stays by our side all the time. He went to the family farm with us over Christmas and had 125 acres to run on but minded his manners perfectly :)

Thank you, thank you for this wonderful dog. We love him!! No crate for him – he has free roam of the house. He will be well-loved and taken care of for the rest of this life with us!!
